Halo Wars was good....End War was okay..it was mainly a rock,paper,scissors game with a voice command gimmick. And Civ Rev was good but it wasn't a RTS it was turn based and even then it was a simplified version of the PC games.
Last night I heard a long conversation between two avid halo fans about how much Halo Wars sucked. I of course was an entirely unbiased observer. I felt compelled to share this information. |

Yeah the Halo FPS fans think it sucked since its not a FPS. All the people I ever met playing online loved it and most of them were hardcore PC RTS fans of games like AOE. Unless they were upset with some of the story which kind of messed with the history of the Halo series a little bit but nothing like the new Halo Reach that is changing way more to the lore and history of Halo then HW did. |

I can't wait till all the halo kids play Reach and realize the shoot,shoot,bash tactic won't work anymore. Bashing doesn't kill unless it's from behind or if their shields are already gone completely.

Made a new topic for halo reach and moved the stuff from the starcraft post about halo to this one. So for those who still have Halo ODST the beta starts on monday and will last 17 days with new game modes to be unlocked every few days. Overall Reach looks much less gay and random then the other halo games and with the added load-outs it seems to be going the way of CoD or battlefield. It looks like for this fall the only fps or tps games that look any good would be Reach or Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, maybe F.E.A.R. 3 or the new CoD that is going to be shown on gametrailers tv Friday night. Here is the cool live action vid that just came out for Reach;

Yeah it ends on May 19th. The first mode unlocked is the new Deathmatch Arena mode then after 4 days they will unlock the new Invasion mode then on May 14th for the last 5 days they will unlock Generator Defence mode. Those who play one full MP game of the Reach beta will also get a Reach avatar hoodie for free from a unlock in Halo Waypoint. |

Yeah I was going to get it from gamestop but they only gave me $25 for Conviction so I just put it all towards Red Dead Redemption.

The Beta just started pick the "play the beta" link on the campaign disc and the download for the beta will start. Its 1.15GB and you will need the disc to access the beta after the download.

The firefight mode first seen in ODST is back and it has matchmaking! So happy it will have matchmaking it was lots of fun but sucked if you did not have a full team.
