Hey guys. Glad to see you are interested.
It should be a lot of fun. I look forward to meeting you all.
If anyone can bring a wireless router and a switch or two, it would be handy. I have a 20 port switch I am bringing. I am planning for ~30-50 people to probably show up, and gambling that some will be able to bring some networking equipment.
I have a friend with a 24 port switch who is 90% going to come, so it may be covered. But better safe than sorry!
Wireless would be handy. The club has wireless and that is what we will be using Friday night, but on Saturday I do not want to tap in to their router because 1: I have no idea where it is but could probably find out, and 2: They just have a high quality DSL connection and I don't want to rape it with 30+ people online.

The wireless netgear will be perfect. Please bring it.
We would just have to plug the switches into it and the router will be able to assign IPs and route to everyone, more than just 4 people.
If we have 4 20 port switches plugged in to your netgear, that is 80 computers supported by the lan (assuming the netgear doesnt choke up).

Go ahead and bring that switch too. My friend who was bringing the extra 24 port has a 50/50 chance of coming now. Apparently his sister might be giving birth tomorrow and wants the family there for some reason. If they decide to induce early, he will have miss.
Officially we start ~8 or 9 but you can come early if you want. I am here now just hanging out since I have the day off.

So apparently Jaed didn't want to go because it was raining (homo?), but he said he was for sure going tomorrow.
I get off work at midnight tomorrow, so I will see you ninjas there. If you go but leave before I get there, I will rape and murder you (not particularly in that order).

Venue was (I think) the sort we should be looking for for future LANs. Jaed ended up going too. I had to work that day, so decided to drop by. Neither of us brought computers. In fact, there were like 4 computers there total.

that video you posted was pretty nice!
Justin and I got all loaded up to get out there and then I decided the rain/traffic combination was too retarded to attempt. Aaron got me to go the next day. The venue was clean and dare I say classy. There was a burlesque show that was entertaining. Probably not everyones cup of tea but cool nonetheless. The guy Clayton seemed pretty alright. I think that the venue can house a TON of people. The food is actually the best I have had in deep ellum ever. Including that one pizza place and the cafe brazil. I mena seriously this place is worth going to just to grab lunch.
I see enormous potential in this venue.
