I found a new theme that I think looks nice. Its called MysticJade and is available to try out under the profile page. Not all things work under it yet like the gallery but If people like it I can get those working in no time. Let me know what you guys think or if you can find another one we might want to try. If you want to look for a theme it just needs to be a smf 1.1.x and TP 0.9.x theme, and it would help it they had support for the betas since that shows its being updated.
If we do change the theme to something other then xbox it might be a nice time to change the logo. Since many of us don't play xbox anymore or even have one, maybe someone that's good with photoshop could come up with a logo that better represents dbp now or we could just change the color so it maches more with a new theme.
The main problem with the old xbox theme is that smf 2.0 and TP 1.0 are almost done with beta and will be coming out soon and the person who made the xbox theme is AWOL. Also the fact that the xbox theme is all sorts of messed up under IE8(works fine in back compat mode) and Chrome since those use CSS correctly and the theme was made for the broken css that the old versions of IE had.

The only thing I dont like about the new option is the table size...I'm on the worlds smallest laptop right now so the new theme makes it tiny...otherwise I think it look good.

I see what you mean the xbox theme is a locked size no mater now big or small you have a window. Where as the mysticjade theme resizes depending of the window size. Which is kind of nice for people on widescreen or high res screens since you can see more and dont have to scroll anymore. I see how it can suck for low res screens since it shrinks it all the way down. I will see what I can do, be it just lock the theme a little wider then what the xbox one is or find another theme. I just hated to have to scroll the widescreen youtube vids and large pics and I know the xbox theme blows on a widescreen lcd since you have all the wasted space to the left and right. |

Well I am just going to wait for the new version of SMF and TP to come out before I look for a new theme. Since new ones are always coming out and some don't get updated I would rather just find a updated one when the new versions come out.
Edit: Oh and I removed the recruitment forum.

Ok thinking about removing the Tinyportal mod, since we don't use its main feature for the news posts and articles on for a front page. If I get rid of tinyportal it opens up lots more options for themes and I can then upgrade the site to the newer version that adds some neat new things. I am looking into what I need to do to get this all working.
What I might do is back up all the posts and the gallery and just delete the site and reload it all, since I don't know where in the files its messed up for the video mod. Don't worry I will make sure everything it backed up so we don't lose anything. Still need to think about this and look into everything, but if the site is down tonight or some time in the next few days the that's whats probably going on.

The sites back up, the only things that are not working right now are the gallery and some other little things. The smileys are gone for now that will take a while for me to get set back up, might try and find more. I am going to look for a new theme but for right now we will just use the default.

Yeah the colors don't match and not everyone here plays xbox(they should but we still have some fags in dbp). I like the theme, most themes are light colors and the default white one kills my eyes when I look at it in the dark. |
