I was just going over this with CJ and we came up with some numbers.
The Atrium suite for the 13-16(3 nights) would be $786.08 with taxes. So if we could get at least 5 people it would be $157.22 each for the whole thing. We fit 5 people in the regular room in 06 so we should be able to fit even more in this one if we wanted and that would help lower the price. Parking is $7 a day.

157 is a small price to pay for a suite, plenty of room to chill, and a bed for everyone. |

We should try and secure a room before April. Since they will start to go fast once the qcon signups start. The only thing is that price is a nonrefundable full payment in advance. So if we do get that room everone will need to pay who ever in the group be in me or another person pays for it on their credit card at the time we make the reservation. Just so we don't have people dropping out at the last min which seems to always happen with dbp.
Right now we are putting a 5 person cap on the room. This might change but we need at least 5 to get this room it looks like. So far we have;

According to the press release, it says that the first night's stay is due at reservation (so if you're staying or using the qcon rate, you'd pay $150 or whatever up front) - however it is refundable if 48 hour advance notice is given.

We are talking about getting a suite which is not part of the qcon rate. The qcon rate is only good for the regular size 1 king or 2 double rooms. To get the suite at 786.08 for 3 nights is a prepay in full discount, if we just do a standard reservation it goes upto something like 970 for 3 nights. That's why its nonrefundable because we get a nice discount on the room. So I have a question, what happened last year when the hotel caught the extra Folks in Morocco's room? Or did I imagine that?
Arron told me that they just made him kick out everyone so they only had 4 in the room not 11... how they fit 11 in a regular room is mind boggling. |

11 people isn't that hard when you can get all but 4 to sleep on the floor. Believe it or not, the biggest problem is towels.

Janice and I are getting married on Aug 2nd (I'll send you invites and demand gifts later), so I'll be taking the week before qcon off to go on a honeymoon...so I won't be asking off to go to quakecon. If I have one of those days off I'll probably stop by...seeing as I play nothing but xbox now, one day is probably enough anyway.
