August 13 - 16, 2009, in Dallas, TX at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

Online registration for QuakeCon will begin at 9:30pm EST / 6:30pm PST on March 6, 2009.

I will be going this year. I will have a weeks worth of vacation time by then. Lets try and get most of DBP to go this year, since more of us are busy with other stuff and dont see each other as much it would be sweet if we all went this year. So who wants to split a room?

Okay, I swear I will not vomit, black out, break bottles indiscriminately, or violate any statutes (other than copyright and intellectual property laws) during this year's, 2009's, Quakecon event.

Should be another good year.

I for one would like to be able to stay there this year!!!!   I want drunkenness.  Also I Promise not to yell racial slurs at the top of my lungs in such a manner as to draw untoward attention to myself.  (even if I am Mexican)

Yeah we should get a dbp room going like we had for 2006. Its $145 a night plus taxes and parking which is $7 a day. If we can get enough people we could get it down to under a $100 a person, depending if we do early check in for the byoc and get a room for that night.

Is there any larger rooms available?

Well the regular rooms are just 1 king or 2 double beds. They do have suites and executive rooms.

Suites for aug. 12th-16th. start at 194.65 and go to 211.65, they have 2 double beds and a queen murphy bed.

Executive rooms look like the same price as suites with access to the 25th-floor Executive Lounge, inclusive of Continental Breakfast, evening hour hors d'oeuvres and Verandah Club and Spa access. Looks like the same size as the regular rooms all you get is the extra crap that we would not need.

Those prices I listed are for full prepayment they go up to $250ish for just regular reservation. If you want a larger room the suites look like a better deal since you can fit more people in the room. I guess it just depends how many people want to share a room.

Things to remember:

Quakecon Room Discount
Too many people per room can become difficult to handle.

Hmm, is there any photos of their suites compared to the regular rooms?

Those prices I listed before were for 1 person per room. If we tell them we have 4 the price goes upto 237.15 for Atrium suites and 254.15 for Tower. The Atrium rooms are cheaper then the Tower rooms it looks like, its not that much longer of a walk so it might be worth the savings. If anyone has a AAA membership they can get a discount for us it looks like.

Fuck that, DBP can fool anyone into thinking there is 1 person in the room, we're masterful at quiet well organized celebration.

so 237 x how many days?

I don't know, those suites look pretty baller... how much money we talking if we get all of us in there, and NO 13 year old girls and kids.
