They lost their writers in the first season, expect it to get better with this upcoming one.
Well all seven episodes had writers, its just that the strike started so they just ended the season at 7. This season will be a full 13 episodes.

I knew someone would say that, that's exactly what I was inferring, they lost their writers, so he's reviewing character development on an incomplete season. So, hence the issues - insufficient time to develop.

Brother in law- he's the macho cocky guy who doesn't have a social filter and says inappropriate stuff, but his overconfidence allows for the wool to be pulled over his eyes. Oh and he relates everything to sports and makes jokes about mexicans. At least he has some moments were he picks up the son after getting busted for beer and acts somewhat unlike a robot.
This is fairly accurate writing considering he's a cop. Seriously so many cops are wrapped up in being the biggest badass around that they fuck up a lot.

I kinda would have to agree also... I work on the personal guns of mansfield/ft worth officers, and being around them often there are a few of them that think they are robocop, I wouldn't say the majority though - but then again I only know 15-20 of them.

What a ghey.
they spent 11 minutes of a 24 minute episode (45%) replaying old shit... Only to reach a climax that will be on the next episode.

Well it has been about a year since it was on.
On the other hand I was hoping for some sort of Sunday marathon of last season to get everyone up to speed again.

Okay just watched it on dvr. Not sure where you got either of those numbers. I didn't time it or anything but it was an hour long slot which is usually 40 minutes. Also the only scene I remembered was where Tuco beat the shit out of the other dude and that didn't seem like 11 minutes.

You're right, I thought it was a 30 minute slot for some reason.

It was a slow episode, what was with the eyeball and the stuffed animal? That never went anywhere... maybe in the future episode... seemed like the episode really didn't build anything substantial.
and... rape scene?
